Live entertainment, music & performance, bushranger siege, poets, folk artists, historical exhibitions, kids shows, street theatre, tours & more.

Hold up all weekend with outdoor cinema, theatre restaurant, live entertainment & music, markets, street buskers, tours & more.

9am - Noon Boutique Shopping
Enjoy a unique shopping experience as Forbes boutique shops wind back the clock to the 1860s, with live roving entertainers.

11am - Noon FREE Guided Walking Tour
Experienced guides will take you on a tour of Forbes important historic sites.
Tour departs from Victoria Park

12:30pm Muzzle Loading Demonstration
Learn about the workings and history as experts demonstrate blank firing of firearms used by bushrangers and troopers during the 1860s in NSW. Includes pistols, rifles and shot guns.

1:15pm Colonial Classroom
What it was like to be in school in the early Colony of New South Wales. Kids don't miss it!

Action, outlaws, horses, guns, gold!

3:00pm Bushranger Show
Kids learn the story of bushranging from the convict years through to the death of Ned Kelly.

6pm Movie under the Stars
Fall in love with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman in Australia the movie under the stars on a huge 7m x 8m screen. BYO chairs, blankets and picnic. Adults $10, Kids $5 (5 - 16), Concessions $7, Family $25 (2 adults & up to 3 kids)
Tickets on sale now at Forbes Shire Council or the Forbes Railway Arts & Visitor Information Centre. Tickets available at the gate. In the event of inclement weather screening will take place at the Town Hall.

Be entertained by a devilish gang of bushrangers with live music from six-piece folk bank Collector while you enjoy a hearty two course meal. Dress 1860s style if you wish!

7:00pm An Evening with Mulga Bill, Ben Hall & Pink Slip
A Feast of Food, Song, History and Folklore.
Three former Mulga Bill's Bicycle Band members reunite to perform 'The Streets of Forbes' in Forbes for the first time ever! This special evening includes a 3-course dinner, live music from Pink Slip and three former members of MBBB and a conversation with descendents of Ben Hall and his family - Ben Hall, Peter Bradley and Jeff Freeman.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast plus live folk music, bush poetry & entertainment.

9am - Noon Make-Bake-Grow Markets
A variety of local and regional products including fruit and vegetables, gourmet foods, fresh baked treats and handicrafts.

10am The Kate Kelly Trail
Learn of the troubled life of Kate Kelly - sister of bushranger Ned - before and during her time in Forbes. This tour visits many sites including the location on Forbes' lagoon where Kate's body was found. This conducted bus tour commences at the Forbes & District Historical Museum on Cross Street.

2pm Twin Rivers Director's Screening
Director/Producer Matthew Holmes, who is now developing a film production of BEN HALL, will be presenting his 2007 debut feature film Twin Rivers, a heartfelt and engaging drama set in Depression era New South Wales. Matthew will introduce the film, as well as share his vision for his next feature film BEN HALL. He will also be available for Q & A after the screening. Copies of Twin Rivers DVD's will be available for sale after the screening.
This screening is Free Entry however numbers are limited. Screening to be held in the Gallipoli Function Room at the Forbes Services Memorial Club.


6:45pm Norma O'Hara Murphy 'Live in Forbes'
Multi-Golden Guitar winner Norma O'Hara Murphy will perform the bush ballads that have made her famous live in Forbes - with a traditional roast dinner to top off this top night of entertainment.
